British/Swiss watchmaker Christopher Ward has honoured two of the most iconic cars in motor sport history with its latest limited edition collection.
The timepieces—modelled on the Jaguar D-Type and Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato respectively—both come embedded with actual pieces of metal from the original cars, just in case you were worried about the company's commitment to authenticity.
The C9 D-Type, inspired by the 1955 Le Mans winning Jaguar D-Type, boasts a slick black dial, with numerals based on the car's speedometer. And, in a nod to the car's year, comes in a run of just 55 watches.
The C9 DB4 '1 VEV’—limited to just 19 pieces—pays homage to the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato; raced in 1961 by Ray Salvadori at Goodwood and comes with a matte black dial, Peccary camel leather strap and a 43mm, marine-grade stainless steel case with brushed crown.
Both editions are available to pre-order now, with a release expected for mid October of this year.
