Celebrating their 100th Anniversary, Montblanc launched a campaign outlining the history of the Maison and their innovations, as well as their growth and expansion over more than a century. The video is entitled, “Pioneering since 1906. For the pioneer in you”.
The filmed stars none other than the versatile, extremely talented and magnetic actor from Australia and Montblanc ambassador Hugh Jackman. The campaign is directed by young talented Swedish director Andreas Nilsson, who is also an award winner of the Directors Guild of America. The film was shot in Budapest with multiple sets, featuring 70 actors and various different scenes, with Hugh Jackman walking through the various sets narrating the company’s history while acting out the scene with his very own brand of tongue-in-cheek, which we are now so familiar with and never fails to put a big smile on our face. Watch him move from the top of a snowy Mont Blanc mountain, down into a library with the three founders, then twirl through the ballroom of Europe and many other places before he ends up back on the apex of Mont Blanc, all in 2 minutes 20 seconds. The entire campaign is shown with a tinge of vintage hue, giving it an authentic old feel to the whole movie.
It is a campaign like no other, brilliantly executed, magnificently shot and beautifully acted and certainly a masterpiece that Montblanc will be very proud of and presents the maison in their candid element—the best.
