Apple Is Making It So You Never Have to Touch a Phone Screen Again
That's right: No more fried chicken smudges.

Apple is reportedly developing phone screens that you don't have to touch to control. Instead, we'll be using touchless gestures in the air. This is some seriously life-changing technology that could alter how we interact with our screens.
But more importantly, it could save you from getting your orange-dusted Cheetos finger grease all over your phone the next time you want to aimlessly scroll through Twitter. And that's what innovation is all about.
According to a report by Bloomberg, you would work your iPhone by making gestures with your fingers in front of the screen without having to press buttons or swipe over glass. Samsung already has a feature like this called Air Gestures that tracks hand movements, but this new report seems to indicate Apple's technology is more pinpointed to finger movements.
The goal for touchless screens is to introduce some cool new tech to the iPhone lineup to help differentiate it from all the other good smartphones on the market right now. And we can guess the unspoken goal is to make it even easier to literally never log off.
If Apple moves forward with these plans, we probably won't see touchless iPhones on the market for at least two years. Even so, this has a lot more potential to make our lives easier (and cleaner and more germ-free) than Apple's Animojis. Don't even get us started on AirPods.
