Leica Kicks It Old School

Leica really means business when it goes back to the basics.

This camera is not for the amateur.

Despite its standing as an entry level camera, the newly-launched MD embodies the purification of photography by shifting the focus of the camera to a traditional and old school-esque technology, without the various 'distractions' that people are used to in a digital camera.

Without a LCD monitor screen or menu system but instead a huge ISO dial and a few adjustment essentials such as shutter speed, aperture and distance value. So when they say they're going back to the basics, they really mean it. Heck, the camera doesn't even shoot in JPEG but raw .DNG files.
