Whether on their window displays or art exhibitions, Hermès sure puts on a good show. On October 14, in Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport, Hermès build a pop up city, (Yes, a city! Not just a store) on a 30,000 square-foot event space, inviting over 1,000 guest. For only one night, the city entitled “The Nature of Men” highlights Hermès’ men collections, from ready-to-wear to accessories.
Véronique Nichanian, artistic director of the men’s universe at Hermès built the city around a style and a sense of sharing. The colours and shapes of the city were inspired by the designs of artist Nigel Peake, giving guest a world of fantasy with the reality of men.
