Step inside the Gatsby-like universe of Gucci with Alessandro Michele and you’ll greeted by an ocean of maximalist runways, short-film-like ad campaigns and art catalogued editorials. No longer associated with those bootleg logo tees and Gucci Mane, Gucci is now much rather an artistic paradise that Michele has created for the young (at heart) eccentricity.
This season, the brand introduces the newest member to its world of sneakers—the Ultrapace. The chunky sneakers are a vintage take on the silhouette of a tennis shoe, with use of luxe-materials like Tejus printed leather, suede and exclusive Lavaredo fabrics in slight distressing. The retro fitted logo embossing at the sides and the toe cap with contrasting stitch details on the metallic leather give the shoe a very ‘80s disco vibe, taking you back to a live Elton John concert inside Studio 54.
Gucci Ultrapace are now available at all Gucci stores.
