To celebrate the 100 years of the German, Bauhaus School of Art, COS launches ‘Archive editions inspired by Bauhaus’. Not to be mistaken for the German punk rock band Bauhaus (which also took its inspiration from this art school), the Bauhaus school of Art in its essence is a synergy of minimalist movements, architecture and art; quite assimilate to that of COS. For this capsule, the brand launches a 13-piece collection comprising of 6 womenswear pieces and 6 menswear pieces along with an accessory completely reflecting the principles of the art school.
The capsule explores deep into the dualities of modernism with a traditional twist and its take on functionality, featuring as an experimental play of geometric patterns and minimal cuts and construction ensued by monochromed colour palettes. The womenswear capsule is even more experimental and more "out there" if you may, with complex pattern making constructions of experimental draping, folding and darting.
The COS Archive editions capsule launches in store in October.
