SS19 is giving us serious "Singin' in the Rain" vibes. From Zegna, Versace, Wooyoungmi to Thom Browne (left to right); yellow coats come in different length, texture and finishings.
When we first saw Prada (second from left) sent out models in the tiniest pair of shorts one could imagine, we knew the trend would caught up. It's time to show some legs, boys. Bring out your dad's old tennis shorts and give them a new life.
From left: Fendi, Prada, Loewe, Jacquemus.
Not only do the shorts go shorter, the bags are smaller as well. Versace, Lanvin and Dior all showed bags in mini-sized that you can share with your kids.
Ok, not that kind of breast obvs. Various double-breasted suits are being offered this season (from left: Dior, Dunhill & Paul Smith). But in general, the cuts are loose, slouchy and more exaggerated.
A handful of designers are challenging the notion of masculinity (CMMN SWDN, Dior & Louis Vuitton) by putting men in sheer shirts. While we're not completely sold on the idea, we've to admit that sheer shirts are a genius idea for our hot climate.
Denim are treated in various ways this season: washed, garment-dyed, bleached. And the results are not only beautiful but also full of character. We especially like Alessandro Sartori's take (middle, above) for Zegna.
Not a single pair of skinny trousers was spotted on the runway this time round (RIP, skinny jeans). At Zegna (left), trousers are billowing and easy; at Dunhill (middle), they are cut with a break on the boots; and at Paul Smith (right) they are wide and flowy.
From Versace to Dior and Zegna; sneakers are still as massive as they are. Looks like the trend is not going anywhere. Best cop a pair ASAP.
