Want To Wear The World's Most Expensive Ugly Christmas Sweater?
USD30,000 seems like a perfectly reasonable price to pay for unattractive knitwear. Right?

You've very likely been invited to an ugly Christmas sweater party at some point this holiday season. It's inevitable nowadays, since, for some utterly inexplicable reason, they've become all the rage. And one way to deal with this seasonal calamity is to choose to wear a stylish alternative instead. Or, if you're feeling slightly more cavalier about your fiduciary health, you could just wear the most expensive ugly Christmas sweater ever made.
Tipsy Elves—the company turning ugly Christmas sweaters into a cottage industry—has teamed up with Swarovski to create a crystal-bedecked piece of yuletide absurdity that rings it at a princely sum of USD30,000. The sweater, which took 52 hours to make and features 24,274 crystals, shows Santa Claus streaking across the universe on a magical unicorn. It's just like a Bing Crosby song.
You can catch a glimpse of the sweater when it appears on Good Morning America this Friday to commemorate National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. And if you want for yourself (for reasons we 100 percent do not want to know about), simply head on over to the Tipsy Elves website and plunk down your retirement nest egg. Happy Christmas.
