K-Pop's EXO Performs In Gucci For The Olympics Closing Ceremony
Some fans thought they dressed a little like Colonel Sanders.
When news broke that K-Pop acts EXO and CL (of the now-defunct girl group 2NE1) were going to perform at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics closing ceremony, a social media craze began (as how they always do). Hashtags ‘#Olympics_EXO’ were trending worldwide (and still is, in this part of the world) even before the ceremony began. Alex Huot, Head of Social Media for the International Olympic Committee noted that the fans tweeted eight million times in just four hours. These fans do not joke.
The eight-member boy band wore matching white Gucci suits with navy and red details—celebrating the colours of the South Korean flag—while different accessories such as their neckties gave each look a distinctive personality. However, some netizens thought they dressed a little like Colonel Sanders. What do you think?
“Badass” Chaelin, better known as CL wore Korean-designer Juun. J’s punk trench coat. She performed The Baddest Female and 2NE1's I Am The Best while EXO performed their smash-hits Growl and Power.
