Burberry really outdid themselves this time! For Christmas, the British fashion house celebrates their 160th anniversary by casting Domhnall Gleeson, Sienna Miller, Dominic West and Lily James for a big-budget short film.  (What a shame, we’ll definitely catch it if it was a full length film.)

Entitled The Tale of Thomas Burberry, the short film tells the story of their founder Thomas Burberry, born August 27, 1835. Gleeson stars as Mr Burberry founding his eponymous label by inventing the gabardine, a waterproof material that’s tough and tightly woven of wool and cotton. Burberry supplies his trench coats that we all know and love today to about half a million of soldiers of the British Army, explorers crossing Antarctica and pilots of record-breaking flights.

Written by Academy Award-nominated Matt Charman (Bridge of Spies, Suite Française, Patriots Day) and directed by Academy Award-winning Asif Kapadia (The Warrior, Senna, Amy), plus heartbreaking music, this has got to be one of the best thing you’ve watched thus far.
