From space suits to tea makers to a Montblanc pen, what we want this week.
Umbrellas are actualy really cool lowkey men accessories. The ultimate way to stay one hundred and fresh on our outfit game is for your clothes to remain dry, and the best way to keep it dry other than staying indoors is of course to have an umbrella. But not just any umbrella, these maharishi x senz⁶ umbrella. Dubbed the senz⁶ original, its specially engineered to withstand strong gales of up to 100km/h while its aerodynamic silhoutte guides wind over its surface making it extra durable during storms. Featuring a camo pattern, it actually takes inspirations from satellite imagery and entails an evasion of government surveillance. Super cool.
Issued every year in a strictly limited edition worldwide since 1992, the Montblanc Writers Edition pays tribute to the greatest icons of literary history. On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of his life’s achievements, Montblanc celebrates the playwright, poet and actor William Shakespeare. The design of the Writers Edition William Shakespeare is inspired by Shakespeare’s seven most famous plays. The body of the pen is engraved with a fine featherlike pattern that represents the quill pen Shakespeare used. At the end of the clip, a golden ring recalls the earring Shakespeare wore in the Chandos portrait. A rose and dagger stand for Romeo and Juliet, a skull for Hamlet, two chess pieces for King Lear, a crest for Henry V, a crown for Macbeth, a swirling cloud for The Tempest and a laurel wreath in the form of a ‘C’ for Julius Caesar. To complete the Collection, Montblanc is introducing two pairs of circular cufflinks with the Tudor rose as the central motif.
"Sadly, even with this fine writing instrument, it doesn’t necessarily mean you will be able to write like the Bard." - Simon, Editor-in-Chief
Finally getting a better look at these after having images of it leaked earlier, we're pretty stoked for its release. ACRONYM anything is always amazing. Featuring a predominantly black construction with a cargo green panel, the uppers has an OF Presto lacing system while a unique collar wraps around the ankle. The ACRONYM aesthetics is visible with a zipped up high sock lining and it being set atop a white midsole and black outsole for that cool utilitarian look. While we have no news of when it drops, we really want it.
Fashion assistant Sarah feels that she's a little late on the bandwagon but she needs a little Jade Roller to “zen” her life. This beauty tool started from the elite ladies in China from the 7th century that’s use to reduce facial puffiness and under-eye bags, drains body toxins, and balance one's ‘qi’ by using the lymphatic drainage massage technique. Hoax or not, it seems worthy of a try. PS: It’s fine for men to use this too.

Tea is awesome. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Sure we love a beer or two or an Old Fashioned every now and then, but to truly calm the soul and feel relaxed, sippin' on a hot cup of tea is always the go to. Inspired by the gaiwan, a traditional Chinese loose leaf tea brewing vessel that is designed to steep in small doses, the guys over at Manual have designed this double-walled glass tea maker that is able to stabilise steep temperature while keeping its exterior cool enough to touch. No strainer is needed for pouring as one simply needs to pull back the lid and with a flick of the wrist, the tea is poured. This shit is getting web editor Sim thirsting for some tea.
Described as an electric collision of molecules with the crash of spicy pepper seeds suspended within infinite darkess, we're really curious to take a whiff of this COMME des GARCONS Blackpepper frangrance. Compirising of dry Madagascan pepper, cederwood and akigalawood, the resulting scent is said to be a combination of smoky wood scent with a musky accord. Perfect for that all black brooding ninja look.
Yes, this is a space suit. While we're not entirely sure what our art director Rebecca would want to do with it, we 'gotta say its a pretty cool thing to want. Used in the first of the US manned flight programs, the Mercury era suit used in Project Mercury aimed successfully to place a spacecraft into the earth's orbit. The space suit was basically just a modified version of the US NAvy's Mark IV high altitude pressure suit with the most notable modification being an aluminized nylon outer layer to assist in thermal control. According to its descriptions, it has a very snug fit and provided limited mobility while pressurised but who cares about that, it's a f**kin' space suit.
