We've barely made it into spring but Robert Pattinson (that guy who played a vampire in Twilight) has already landed a new gig for autumn, as the face of Dior Homme Ready-to-Wear collection.

The news probably didn't come as a surprise since Pattinson has been the frontman of Dior Homme fragrance since 2012. But the Parisian house wants you to know that 'this is the first time that Dior Homme has used a Hollywood actor for their fashion campaign.' So, it's only fitting that they have a legendary photographer to shoot the campaign. Who else better than Karl Lagerfeld himself?

However, Pattinson seems to be interested in more than just modelling clothes. In an interview with Numéro recently, he revealed that he is, uhm, designing clothes.

"I've started making clothes. For the last two years, I've been visiting producers and craftsmen. There's already quite a few pieces. I love doing it. My style is influenced by the cities I go to, sourcing fabrics and local skills. In Los Angeles, it's really easy to work with denim and do workwear inspired clothes. In England, I look more towards wool and knitwear. What I do is pretty multifaceted, clothes for men and for women, things that I make with friends… But I'm not going into too much detail, I don't want to jinx anything…"

Is Pattinson pulling a Kanye? Do you think Karl will be shooting his campaign? Either way he is going to have a lot more clothes to wear.

UPDATE: It turns out this was all just an early April Fool's joke.
