Let’s face it, who hasn’t at one time or another fantasized about being in a love triangle where two gorgeous people are fighting for your love and affection?
No one? Just me then?
While Saint Laurent’s Fall Winter 19 menswear collection features sex appeal in the way of sharply tailored leather with metallics and sequin accents; Anthony Vaccarello’s latest short movie takes the idea of sensuality in a different direction. The Saint Laurent creative director tapped American author Bret Easton Ellis to direct this short called “The Arrangement”.
The story follows three beautiful characters (dressed head to toe in YSL, of course) on their journey through jealousy, love, and lust. Accompanied by Petula Clark’s version of the 60s hit “The Windmills of Your Mind” the video narrates sexual obsession as we see two men vying for the attention of a single woman.
There is actually an empowering message to take away from this. "The Saint Laurent woman has never been submissive," Vaccarello says. Tes Linnenkoper, who plays the stunning female protagonist, holds all the cards and pulls all the strings. Her character evokes the Saint Laurent attitude of confidence, individuality and self-expression.
