Rolling right after the successful launch of their new S-Class, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is now ready to give us their Dream Cars collection for 2018. For those who don't follow the car pages, the Dream Cars are the cars that the German marque have earmarked as aspirational. This year, the collection includes the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, Mercedes-AMG GT C Coupe, Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 and the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53. In short order, here is a brief introduction to the cars and if you need a closer look, do head over to your nearest Mercedes dealership.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet (A238) will come in an E300 platform. The new Cabriolet is the fifth and youngest member of Mercedes-Benz’s E‑Class family, which has been renewed entirely within the space of one year. At the same time, the brand with the star is continuing its tradition of high-calibre cabriolets with a classic fabric soft top. Powerful engines and comfortable suspension systems ensure a sporty and luxurious driving experience. For the first time, the Cabriolet is also available with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Suspension that is 15 millimetres lower than that of the Saloon likewise emphasises the luxuriously sporty character of the E-Class Cabriolet. This will sell at RM589K.

The Mercedes-AMG GT C Coupe is an elegant little beasty. The increased output of this coupe opens up a new level of performance below the Mercedes-AMG GT R. From this top-of-the-line model, the vehicle has adopted the athletic rear-end shoulders as well as high-calibre technology features. The Mercedes-AMG GT C is thus aimed even more at those wishing to drive at the limit. Overall, the car presents itself as a dream car and the most intense way to drive a sports car, delivering an even more immediate feel of the fascinating DNA that defines the Mercedes-AMG GT. Sports car enthusiasts can now experience genuine emotions that are often lost in everyday motoring. The Mercedes-AMG GT C embodies the perfect symbiosis of typical AMG Driving Performance at the highest level and unrestrained driving enjoyment. You'll need to come up with RM1.46M to take this one home.

A personal favourite of mine, the Mercedes-Benz CLS 450 (C257) is your not so typical four-door coupe. The new CLS pioneers the new design idiom of Mercedes-Benz, which is recognisable by its clear contours and reduced lines. Its character is marked by a grille contour that widens towards the base and a forward-slanting front section. Other features include wide, low-set headlamps and two-section tail lights. At the same time the design reflects the timeless aura of the first CLS, which founded a new segment and quickly became a design icon. All CLS models are equipped with new engines: in-line six-cylinder and in-line four-cylinder units as diesel and petrol versions. Like its predecessors, the new CLS exudes self-assured sportiness in exemplary style: a highly emotive vehicle offering impressive long-distance and acoustic comfort coupled with thrilling, unrivalled technology. If your bank details aren't a joke like mine, you can have this machine for RM650K.

And finally, we have the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53. Sometimes a change in perspective is all that is needed to see things in a totally new light. In this case, the new MULTIBEAM LED headlamps change the surroundings, making them shine with a new brightness. So it’s possible to see what’s happening around the vehicle more quickly and more effectively. The new drive system, announced by the “TURBO 4MATIC+” badge on the wing, makes the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+ shine in a new light. Furthermore, its wide shoulders and clean lines cut an exceptionally dynamic figure on the road. Now i haven't actually been behind the wheel of this car yet but with a RM806K price tag, it's likely to be an impressive drive.
