Bad News: Your Vaping Habit Is As Bad As Smoking Cigarettes

Sorry, bro.

Bad news for Leonardo diCaprio, Johnny Depp and that strange bloke in your office who hangs out at vaping conventions: the smoking cure du jour may in fact be as damaging to your heart as smoking real cigarettes

A new study has found that one average vaping session causes the same damage to the heart's main artery as cigarettes. The trial monitored a group of  smokers, whose hearts were monitored while they vaped, and whilst smoking regular cigarettes with worrying results for those chugging away on an e-fag.

Awkwardly, findings contradict the evidence that PHE presented last year which showed that 'Vaping is 95 percent less harmful than tobacco and called for GPs to be able to prescribe e-cigarettes on the NHS to help people quit smoking.'

A vaping research group presented the evidence at the European Society for Cardiology conference in Rome. The lead researcher Prof Charalambos Vlachopoulos, from the University of Athens Medical School, criticised the British attitude and use of e-cigarettes stating that:

'There could be long-term heart dangers," Vlachopoulos explained, "They are far more dangerous than people realise. I wouldn't recommend them now as a method to give up smoking. I think the UK has rushed into adopting this method."

Better clean out that draw of watermelon and churros flavoured vape juice, it might not be as harmless as you thought.
