President Obama Scorched Donald Trump On Jimmy Kimmel
He answered the call on "Mean Tweets."

That was President Obama's response when Jimmy Kimmel asked if he knew how bad the Trump Tape would be as soon as he watched it. "If your best friend who worked in the office somewhere had that video, it would be a problem for him. And he's not running for president." Obama seemed to relish the opportunity when he joined Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night to tee off on Donald Trump, whose campaign has gone off the rails in recent weeks and into a fever swamp of sexual assault allegations and increasingly dangerous anti-democratic rhetoric.
But Obama also had time to take a little flak of his own. In his second appearance in a "Mean Tweets" segment, he read a bunch of fairly milquetoast insults about mustard and the like. (It's safe to say Kimmel's producers didn't pick anywhere near the nastiest insults tweeted about him on a daily basis.) One, though, had a particular... resonance. Obama was ready for it:
While he got a little feisty at the end there, there was a laidback vibe to the rest of the segment as Obama read random people calling him "gross." It was a reminder of how the ability to laugh at yourself is valuable a quality in anyone, including the president. That guy he clapped back at could learn that lesson, even in the increasingly likely event he's not elected. And if he does win, and he doesn't get any better at taking criticism, none of us will be laughing.
