Anyone with long hair knows the inclination to bring along a hair tie when you’re wearing your hair down. What if your hair gets annoying by the end of the night?

But Jason Momoa took the wrist hair tie up a few notches at the Oscars Sunday night. The Aquaman star wore a blush Fendi scrunchie that perfectly complimented his custom, velvet Fendi suit.

It’s not the first time he’s worn the practical accessory. He dressed a pink scrunchie down with a hoodie for a trip through the Australia's Brisbane airport in December. And he wore it paired with a crisp white button-down on-air for a This Morning in the UK appearance in November.

He also used it to actually hold his hair back at an Aquaman meet and greet in London last year.

Scrunchies have been making a fashion comeback in recent years. For their 2018 resort collection, Balenciaga sent models down the runway with the accessories.

Momoa's Oscars look coordinated with his wife Lisa Bonet's mid-length Fendi gown, as well. Both looks honored Karl Lagerfeld, the longtime creative director for Fendi and Chanel who died earlier this month.

“We have the honor of wearing Karl Lagerfeld, he designed Jason’s tux personally for him, and this is from his last couture collection from Fendi,” Bonet said on the red carpet.
