Here are two and a half minutes of 'It' that are f*cking terrifying
Time to ruin all that warm '80s nostalgia left over from 'Stranger Things'.

A time when '80s nostalgia has never been more fun and more popular, It has arrived to ruin all fond memories you might have of the era. Oh yes, maybe you watched Stranger Things last summer and it reminded you of your childhood: riding bikes! Eating Eggos! Watching E.T.! But, the '80s was also the decade that gave us It, the Stephen King novel that has pretty much instilled a fear of clowns into a generation who has then passed it down to their own children.
Today, Warner Bros. shared the first teaser trailer for the upcoming movie adaptation of It. Sure, you've probably had a nice day so far, but allow me to ruin it in two and a half minutes:
Yeah, so that's a clown lurking in a goddamn gutter. And, yeah, that's a little possessed child in a flooded basement.
What's clear from this trailer is, yes, it's going to be scary as hell. But this adaptation appears to do many of the things that Stranger Things and other homages to the era did right. This has the cluttered, detailed sets and the dramatic lighting of '80s horror and sci-fi like E.T., The Goonies, and the 1990 miniseries adaptation of King's novel starring with Tim Curry as the iconic Pennywise. Nostalgia is great, but fear can be a powerful emotion to connect with the past, too. Prepare to feel like that scared little child again.
