A Very Brief Recap Of The New Twist In The Kanye West / Taylor Swift Feud

Let's see how quickly I can get through this: In 2009, Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs with the "Imma let you finish" heard around the world. There were some ups and downs in their relationship over the next seven years, until West debuted his new song, "Famous," in February, which included the lines: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous."
Taylor Swift was displeased. Kanye said he talked to her beforehand about the lyric. Swift said he did not. Then there was a music video with naked people. Then Kim Kardashian told GQ that West had video evidence of Swift's approval, but her attorney sent a letter saying the footage had to be destroyed.
Now that you're up to speed, here's the new part: Kardashian, it appears, was not fucking around. On last night's episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians—which I had no idea was still on TV, as all media seems to be a Kardashian reality show—Kim focused on the feud of our ages. She then shared the alleged videos of Kanye West telling Taylor Swift about the "Famous" lyrics.
"It's kind of like a compliment," someone who sounds like Taylor Swift says in the video. "If people ask me about it I'll tell them, 'Oh, he called me beforehand to tell me about it.'"
Taylor Swift then responded to the videos:
That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet. pic.twitter.com/4GJqdyykQu— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) July 18, 2016
Since I have 60 words left, here's a batshit conspiracy theory: Are Kardashian, West, and Swift on the Democrats payroll and using this feud to distract people from the RNC (Republican National Convention) this week? Maybe. Probably not.
