1. Launch of The Tropical Malaysian House 1

Forget treehouses! These tropical houses are way more rewarding. The launching event of The Tropical Malaysian House 1, a book by Prof. Robert Powell that illustrates some of the most innovative and engaging residential projects by architects and designers in Malaysia will also involve a photography exhibition presenting photographs captured by Lin Ho. Additionally, there’ll be a talk by Powell and a book signing as well.

2. GWKL: Pudu Jail’s Graffiti


Gallery Weekend Kuala Lumpur 2018 brings you an exhibition of images that were photographed back in 2002–2003 which were later taken to analyse. Were they a form of expression or communication? Grab this weekend to check out the art behind the bars. It’s not everyday that you can check out the interior of prisoners’ cells.

3. Cheese ‘N Gourmandise


Some cheese, some, bread, some wine, c’est délicieux! And that’s exactly what Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur Café will be offering this coming weekend. Indulge yourself in these treats, while they talk about the history and process of the various types of cheese.

4. TDSC Presents Films of Stanley Kubrick

Cinemas are overrated. Attend a film screening instead featuring these cult classic films directed by one of the best known, influential directors of the industry, Stanley Kubrick. TDSC will be showing The Shining (1980) and 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) on their respective dates. Besides, admission’s free, and one can never go wrong with Kubrick.

5. Philharmonic Orchestra – Mahler’s Epic Fifth


If music is your thing, you won't want to miss out on this one. Having been a huge influence on choreographers and filmmakers alike, Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 will definitely impress you with its sincere portrayal of love.
