After its critically acclaimed debut in 1994, Director Loh Kok Man is reviving a long-awaited timely classic A Modern Woman Called ANG TAU MUI.
Conducted in Cantonese with English surtitles, the play follows the story of a modern woman living in the 1960s and her dreams of becoming a star, as well as an introspective life journey caught between the struggles she faces and hopes she desires. Through integrating the multiculturalism in Malaysia, witty dialogues, and intertwining between reality and disposition, the play transports the audience to Ang Tau Mui’s past, present, and fantasy. The show features the role with two women, veteran practitioner Tammi Tan and up-and-coming actress Thian Siew Kim.
