Smashing Weekend. Homegrown streetwear Pestle Mortar Clothing is turning six this year, and in conjunction with that, PMC is inviting you to their party as a token of appreciation for the support all these years. This year, the lineup of DJs include PHVZE, Reddi Rocket, H3, and  Prince 85 who will rock the party. Best of all, the event is free when you show up with a piece of clothing from PMC. For more information, go to their Facebook page.

KL Alternative Book + Art For Grabs. Now in its ninth year, KL Alternative Book is back with a more exciting lineup of indie publishers, happening concurrently with the ever popular annual book fair and arts and culture market, Art For Grabs. Apart from craft stalls, KLAB and Art For Grabs are also featuring a two-day programme of events that include book launches, readings, and forums including an appearance by local hero Syed Azmi. Dato' Seri. Carefully adapted into our national language, now you can dive into the tragic world of Dato Seri, a Malay adaptation of William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Macbeth. Directed by Omar Ali and Tan Sri Muhammad Ali Hashim, the play centres around power, ambition and how a man can be blinded by the insatiable desire for both. See it through an exceptional cast that includes Radhi Khalid, Safia Hanifah, Na’a Murad and Redza Minhat. For more information, check out their Facebook page.
