How To Make A Dirty Martini
With this cocktail, dirtier is better.
As far as classic cocktails go, it's hard to beat the martini. The drink has long been a favorite of upper crust socialites, 1920s flappers, 1950s housewives, and a certain British spy. And while there are several slight variations on the traditional drink, few are more enjoyable, or more fun to say, than the dirty martini. It's a salty—both literally and figuratively—take on a perfect cocktail to enjoy for a night on the town, or while relaxing after a long day at work.
2 oz. gin
1/4 oz. extra dry vermouth
1/4 oz. olive juice
1 2/3 c. water
PREP TIME: 0:00

1. Combine the gin, vermouth, and olive juice in a cocktail shaker and stir. (Yes, stirred, not shaken. Sorry 007.)
2. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
3. Garnish with as many olives as you'd like on a toothpick.
