Coke Just Got A Lot Snobbier
Apparently Coke is the perfect thing to drink with sushi now.

Coke is trying to rebrand itself as a healthy, foodie beverage, according to AP, hoping to branch out from its traditional association with burgers, hot dogs, and pizza. That'll stick.
Its new campaign includes marketing that suggests Coke "go[es] with everything," from paella to sushi. The company's goal is to push the image of "sharing Coca-Cola with family over a healthy home-cooked meal." The company paid social media influencers to post photos of Coke next to meals that were not "grossly unhealthy or over-indulgent," some of which included "a poppyseed and chicken salad, steak with salsa verde, and an herb-roasted chicken," AP reported.
Coca Cola: Like a fine wine, but not.
Americans are drinking far less soda than they used to. Consumption of low- and no-calorie options dropped almost 6 percent in 2015, while consumption of full-calorie options dropped almost 1 percent. A handful of cities passed soda taxes on Election Day, including Chicago.
Coke just tapped a new CEO to adapt to the changing industry, but it's hard to change more than 120 years of American tradition. Remember back in 2014 when Coke launched the healthier, more natural Coke Life? No else does, either.
