Its 10:00PM on a Thursday and you're six pints down, clasping the guy from accounts telling him you've always liked him and demanding you have drinks tomorrow. Sound familiar?
Well Youtube channel SciShow claims to have the reason why everyone is suddenly your best friend when you're pissed and it is all down to the toxin ethanol.
Ethanol disrupts the way your brain cells interact with one another and your body reacts to it as it would a poison, by trying to get rid of it fast.
As the video explains: "Whatever your body can't process right away can end up in your brain, which affects how your cells interact with each other and causes all those things that we associate with drunkenness."
Usually your liver filters ethanol and the 'blood-brain barrier' keeps it from entering your brain, but repeated Jägerbomb means your liver can't keep up and ethanol passes into your brain and changes the signals between brain cells.
Alcohol reduces activity in the cerebellum, an area of the brain responsible for motor function, which is why you keep stumbling around.
Interestingly it also suppresses areas of the brain responsible for self control and social inhibition, which makes people more emotional, sociable and prone to risky decisions.
Which is why you think everybody is suddenly your best mate, even when you can't remember their name.
