The classic cocktails will always stand against time, but it’s nice to switch it up once in a while.
If you’re unfamiliar with the mascot in the video, get with the programme, it’s Mr. Esky, Esquire’s mascot. On a night of bar-hopping, he goes to five of the best bars in Kuala Lumpur and worked with the head bartenders exclusively to create a cocktail that uses Martell Noblige as the main ingredient of the drink. And of course, no drink went to waste.
The Noblige is a stylish cognac whose name comes from the old French saying ‘Noblesse Oblige' – which directly translates in English as ‘nobility obliges’. The concept similar to that of Spider-Man’s – “With great power comes great responsibility” – have created a cognac that’s masculine yet elegant bringing in notes of lemon, pear and prune, vanilla pod and cameralised grapes; and wood characters of sweet myrrh, cedar and fine-grained oak.
So, from high-end classics to modern creations, these are some of the many ways Martell Noblige cognac has been interpreted. All drinks featured here will be available in its respective bars from 1 to 30 April 2019.
