Who needs minorities when you’re backed by the gods? Although Donald Trump’s presidential campaign doesn’t seem like it needs much help, a rightwing Hindu group from India wants to give it to him anyway.
Members of the Hindu Sena nationalist group performed a havan (prayer ritual) in Delhi to ask the gods to help Trump become the 45th POTUS, because of his call for a “total and complete shutdown” of Muslims entering the US.
Above pictures of Hindu gods and the Donald himself, the group hung a banner saying “We Hindu Sena supports [sic] Donald Trump because he is hope for humanity against Islamic terror,” while chanting the non-euphemistic mantra “Donald Trump will come, Islamic terror will end.”
Vishnu Gupta, the group’s founder, said that “the whole world is screaming against Islamic terrorism, and even India is not safe from it. Only Donald Trump can save humanity.” Gupta and his group had previously achieved notoriety for slapping Lashkar-e-Taiba bomb-maker Syed Abdul Karim Tunda inside a court.
