Even before the release of “Crazy Rich Asians”, Henry Golding has landed another acting gig. This time, he’ll co-star opposite Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in Lionsgate’s thriller “A Simple Favor,” as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Paul Feig, whom you’ll probably know from directing “Ghostbusters,” “Bridesmaids,” “Spy,” and “The Heat” is set to direct, while filming starts August 14 in Toronto.
Written by Jessica Sharzer based on Darcey Bell’s book of the same name, the mysterious story moves around blogger Stephanie’s (Kendrick) investigations to solve the sudden disappearance of her best friend Emily (Lively), who is married to Sean (Golding). It’s Golding for gold!
