Bill Murray is Brooklyn's newest and most popular bartender. The actor was on hand serving (and drinking) booze on Friday night to promote his son's new restaurant, 21 Greenpoint.
According to Forbes, Murray joked with the crowd and served a lot of shots, his specialty: "[Murray] handed out vodka shots, tequila shots, Jameson shots, Hibiki whisky shots (my request), and a slew of other white and brown alcohols in pink plastic cups."
This isn't Bill's first time behind the bar. He famously bartended at SXSW, pouring everyone tequila shots, regardless of what they ordered.
On Friday night, Murray gave a touching toast to his son, the proprietor of 21 Greenpoint.
"This is my first born-son, Homer. I am so happy that he has not continued in the family business," Murray said. "Instead, he has taken the joy of the family to have a drink, and have a meal, and have friends together in one place, and made it his life's work. To my son, and his friends, and his work friends and all of his partners."
Bill will once again be behind the bar at 21 Greenpoint on Saturday night. But if you were thinking about popping by to say hey to Bill, think again. The event is invite-only.
