From a retro classic sneaker with a twist and vintage Macs.
Well known American designer Todd Snyder collaborated with New Balance to give his own spin to the 998 silhouette with Snyder looking towards his favourite drink, a black and tan (a layered pint of stout and pale ale) for inspiration and homage to New York's iconic Old Town Bar. Featuring black and tan hues with suede and a mesh construction as well as grey accents, the sneaker sports a neutral yet retro aesthetics that makes it easy to pair with any outfit and perfect to be dressed down or up.
While Supreme released a bunch of ridiculous accessories, its T-shirt collection is pretty solid. True to its provocative nature, we see a bunch of different styles from graphic prints to slogans including a nod to hip-hop duo Capone-N-Noreaga's The War Report, a graphic of a chest X-ray and Phillip Larkin's lyric poem This Be The Verse.
Our web editor Sim is pretty obsessed about candles and incense. And his latest obsession is this Shoyeido and Monocle collaboration which comes with a special edition incense burner designed by Monocle and Shoyeido's Gen-Roku (Returning Spirit) incense sticks which features aged woods and fine herbs for that relaxing feel.
We give far too little attention to moisturizing our face, which is an important step to reducing fine lines from forming. This week we’re following John Mayer’s advice on his night skincare routine with the Natura Bissé Diamond Collection. Remember to apply extra moisturiser on your CNZ (Crucial Necessity Zones).
UOMO by Salvatore Ferragamo is a charismatic oriental woody scent that features notes of black pepper, bergamot, tiramisu, cashmere wood and sandalwood. A very elegant take on masculinity, the woody notes play well with a invigorating sense, making it perfect for the casual man looking for some Italian sophistication.
Before there was that minimally designed Apple store featuring light wooden furnishings or exposed glass, there was Tekserve, a Mac specialist which served as a repair shop for Apple products since 1987. Now that its closing shop, Tekserve will be auctioning off its collection of 35 Mac computers including the first generation Macintosh signed by Steve Wozniak, a NeXTCube, 1994 iBook and many more. The auction also includes its vintage posters, cameras and other knick-knacks that will probably still drive any Apple fan boy out there to frenzy. Book your tickets to New York now.
The 570GT is probably one of the most luxed out and refined piece of machinery that McLaren has ever put out. But when its bespoke division, the McLaren Special Operations or MSO got its hands on it, damn... it just got better. Featuring an Electro-Chromic Roof (one of those cool roofs that can be adjusted from near translucent to a dark tint), pearl white and piano black paint, exposed carbon fibre side skirts and a special titanium exhaust system that makes the car 30 percent lighter, the car looks badass. On the insides, tanned cowhides and 12 Bowers & Wilkins speakers probably makes it more comfortable than your living room. Under the hood, its 3.8 litre twin turbo V8 M838TE engine offers 562 horses that lets you go from zero to 100km in under 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 328kmph.
While a trip to the Swiss Alps would be greatly appreciated, a stay in The Null Stern would definitely make for an interesting experience. A new venture by hoteliers Frank and Patrick Riklin, the hotel features no walls, roofs or even bathrooms. A true nod to the hotel's German name which means "The Zero Stars", guests will sleep in an exposed bed above the Swiss town of Graubünden with the beautiful alpine views and amazing starlit sky.
