Do You Know The Full Lyrics To "Mr. Brightside" By The Killers?

Seems like those in Glastonbury knew.

Glastonbury 2017 ended less than a week ago (we weren’t there, if you wondered), but something caught our eyes, and ears. It’s this video of The Killers performing their debut 2003 single Mr. Brightside on the John Peel Stage.

Listen to the crowd sing to (what we think) every lyric of the song. Spectacular atmosphere where no one’s left behind. “We’ve played Mr. Brightside probably 1,500 times live, and I think that was the craziest it’s ever been,” said Brandon Flowers of their performance. Someone commented on the video that Mr. Brightside is the British national anthem, and judging by this video, we think so too.

As of the official UK charts of 23 June 2017 - 29 June 2017, Mr. Brightside is placed at number 83 (Oasis’ Wonderwall doing splendidly well at 84 considering the song was released in 1995!). Crazy that the both of them are still there after all these (things that I've done) years.

The band’s American, but we think we know where the biggest Victims lie (ha ha). In whatever way, we’re all here for one thing: Do you know every single word to the song? Go on a mini-karaoke session here:

I'm coming out of my cage and I've been doing just fine
Gotta, gotta be down because I want it all
It started out with a kiss, how did it end up like this?
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I'm falling asleep and she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke and she's taking a drag
Now they're going to bed and my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head, but she's touching his

Chest now, he takes off her dress now
Let me go
I just can't look, it's killing me
And it's taking control

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies, choking on your alibis
But it's just the price I pay, destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes, 'cause I'm Mr. Brightside

I never
I never
I never
I never

How did you fare?
