Missing True Blood? It looks like there will be a musical version of the hit TV series.

The HBO supernatural drama could be making its way to Broadway, with Pam MacKinnon heading a recent workshop.

According to the New York Post, Ellen Foley, Claybourne Elder and Ann Harada were among the cast present.

YA writer Elizabeth Scott is penning the script and lyrics, with TV show creator Alan Ball apparently keeping tabs on it as well.

The musical is reportedly set in Bon Temps, just like the HBO series.

True Blood, based on Charlaine Harris's novel series The Southern Vampire Mysteries, ran for seven seasons and starred Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress who falls for the enigmatic vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).

Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, Alexander Skarsgard and Nelsan Ellis also starred on the popular show, which came to an end in 2014.
