Helena Bonham Carter and Mindy Kaling are the latest actors to sign up for the female-led Ocean's reboot.
Showbiz 411 reports that the pair are now attached to the movie, and that Cate Blanchett, who was rumored to be on board, is now also confirmed. The film will be directed by Gary Ross, who directed the first Hunger Games movie, and will star Sandra Bullock.
It's a heist movie, and set in the same cinematic universe as the previous Ocean's movies, which stared George Clooney.
The film's current title is Ocean's Ocho, suggesting there will be eight members of an ensemble cast. It looks like we now have half of it assembled.
Jennifer Lawrence was at one time rumored to be involved, but schedule conflicts have apparently ruled her out.
Clooney will produce, along with Ocean's Eleven, Twelve, and Thirteen director Steven Soderbergh. It's even been rumoured there might be a little cameo from Clooney as Danny Ocean. No details about the plot have surfaced yet. The film is currently in pre-production though, so expect rapidly breaking news on the remaining cast and story.
Ocean's Ocho should be released in 2017.
