ESQUIRE: This is your debut film venture. How do you feel about it?

Azura Zainal: I feel very excited because this is something that I’ve always wanted to do. When the opportunity came, I looked no further and just grabbed the chance. So I am really looking forward to the movie to come out and hope it does well!

Thanuja Anathan: I’m excited because this is my first time in a big screen and of course, you definitely have expectations. You don’t know how people are going to react to it but I think I did my best and I’m really excited to see myself on the big screen.

ESQ: What was it like working together for the first time?

AZ: This is actually not our first time working together. We have worked together for other projects before. But in this movie, we didn’t have scenes together. But it’s always fun having familiar face on set.

TA: Yes, we only met during the makeup and behind the scenes shoots. But just like Azura said, it’s great to have familiar face on set.

ESQ: What was your favorite part of filming this movie?

AZ: Something that you thought you cannot do, but at the end of the day, you made it because there are people rooting for you from behind and I think that would be the best part of all. Plus, coming to work to meet all these people, familiar faces and new friends that you’ve made makes the filming process more fun and enjoyable.

TA: I think just being with the entire casts and crews and the relationship that I built with them on set would be the best part of filming this movie. Apart from that, the fact that I learnt and discovered new boundaries during the filming period is one of the things that I am grateful for.

ESQ: What has been your biggest career challenge so far?

AZ: For me, every job is a challenge. It’s something that I look forward to because without a challenge, the job would be boring and you will become very complacent and safe. Personally, I believe that my career itself is a challenge.

TA: I am completely agree with what Azura said. We wear so many hats in our career. We emcee, host TV shows and more. You learn new things and try to push yourself harder. From there, you will know what your capability is and your personal limits.

Temuan Takdir open in cinemas nationwide on August 11th.
