According To Trend Experts, Everything You Own Should Be This Colour In 2017
"Greenery", we're relying on you.

Unless you work in a bathroom depot, the unveiling of the Pantone 'Colour Of The Year' might have escaped your calendar. But a few days back, the shade was revealed to be 'Greenery', which will "bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the hope we collectively yearn for".
You know things are going really wrong in the world when we're clinging to paint swabs for cheer.
It was back to basics for Pantone who got a bit carried away last year and introduced two colours of the year, "Rose Quartz and Serenity". The year before that it was a sludgy maroon hue called "Marsala" which was pointedly ugly but we didn't depend on colours for hope back in those heady days.
"Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings," according to Pantone who had a difficult choice on their hands between the winner and the obvious frontrunner, "Red, white and blue Brexit."
A projection of life in 2017, which almost certainly has no grounding in reality
Executive Director of the Pantone Colour Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, has explained why this "life affirming shade" was an obvious choice in this, the year of the apocalypse: "Through its reassuring yet assertive vibrancy, Greenery offers us self-assurance and boldness to live life on our own terms, during a time when we are redefining what makes us successful and happy."
Pantone might give up the jig and pick shrapnel grey as the trend colour for 2018, but for now we have lovely leafy green.
