Catch Pirates of Tokyo Bay in an improv battle on March 31/April 1.

The rise of Trump-minded leaders dominates the news, but it doesn’t obscure from the rise of another potent and far more relatable force in the world: comedy. Could this be a duel of good versus evil forces trying to cancel each other out? Or mere coincidence?

Whatever, our desire to laugh and be entertained is being catered to in a major way. KL-ites will be treated to a feast of performances during LOL Fest 2017 from March 24 to April 15 by over 50 acts that include stand-up comedians, improv acts and modern vaudeville.

Look out for headliners like Kumar from Singapore, Japanese duo Gamarjobat and Malaysia’s very own Joanne Kam. Other shows present the best of the comedy industry, including a six-hour marathon, an all-women comedy performance and even an eating competition.
