Tom Hardy Had an Uncharacteristically Chill New Year's Eve
Watch him read a bedtime story with his dog, Woody.

As the clock ticked ever closer to midnight and another year neared its conclusion, one might have gathered his or her loved ones close and asked aloud: "What is Tom Hardy doing right now?" Ah yes, the family may have wondered: Tom Hardy, that wonderful bear of a man. Tom Hardy, that large, often scary, often angry beast of a man. Tom Hardy, who growled and yelled and fought his way into our fluttering, terrified hearts. Tom Hardy, the rugged frontiersman missing half his scalp. Tom Hardy, the comic book villain, who breaks the hero's back. Tom Hardy, the mysterious, simmering killer at the end of the world. How, dare we ask, did Tom Hardy send off another year? How did he toast another flip of the calendar?
Why, he read an adorable children's story on BBC's CBeebies Bedtime Stories with his sleepy dog Woody curled up in his lap, naturally. He read You Must Bring a Hat, wearing a hat himself, and dropping that characteristic growl into a soft, soothing, whisper. Good night, 2016. At least one thing went right last year.
