Gillian Anderson Wants To be Bond
…Jane Bond. Agent Scully hints at role in 007 reboot.

With Daniel Craig doing everything humanly possible to distance himself from James Bond (even reportedly turning down USD$100 million to reprise the role), a new candidate has thrown her hat into the ring.
Agent Dana Scully herself, Gillian Anderson, hinted that she would accept the role of a female 007, by tweeting “It’s Bond, Jane Bond,” along a badly Photoshopped fan poster and the hashtag #NextBond.
A note of caution: Anderson has clearly mastered this internet business, and could just be taking the art of trolling to new heights. Nevertheless, a Bond reboot with Anderson—who, by the way, played a Londoner in The Fall—could reinvigorate the franchise, which seems to be matching Craig’s diminishing interest with diminishing returns.
Many names have been put forth for a reboot, including long-time fan favourite Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston after his turn as ex-soldier-turned-spy in The Night Manager, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.’s Henry Cavill.
