Bangkok is one of the world’s most exciting cities and a stay at VIE Hotel Bangkok certainly adds on to that excitement.

Located in the bustling (if not chaotic) Siam area, the hotel is seated merely 2 minutes away from BTS Skytrain Ratchathewi station and is within walking distance to Bangkok’s popular shopping malls like Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery Center, Central World, Central Embassy and The EmQuartier. Should you feel like experiencing the local transport, they also offer complimentary tuk tuk service to the malls.

Created by French architect J.H. Boiffils, the boutique style hotel is as cozy as it is chic. A golden façade and vertical gardens make a pleasant first impression as we stroll into the understated lobby outfitted with dark marble and warmth lightings. Check in was a breeze; a member from the front desk even escorted us to the suite. Service, as you’d expect from Thai hospitality, is faultless.

The executive suite we stayed in, occupies the entire corner of the floor with a separate living area and a 8-seater sofa and entertainment system. Drape in the hues of burnt oranges, red and brown, the suite also comes with full length windows which offer spectacular views of the city. And thanks to their superbly comfortable beddings, we didn’t need our usual deep sleep pillow spray on any of the nights. If you’re feeling extra fancy, there are also duplex suites and penthouse suites that are well over 100 sqm for you to choose from.

When it comes to dining, VIE offers creative French cuisine and a fantastic brunch menu at La VIE.  At the Yellow Tail Sushi Bar, touted as one of the best sushi bars in Bangkok, you’ll find fresh fish and traditional Japanese offerings complemented by a range of sake.

To work off all the calories, head up to the excellent fitness club. The well-equipped fitness club even has a boxing ring and offers several fitness classes. While the rooftop pool isn’t huge, it’s still a nice place to chill out, have a drink and enjoy the city skyline soundtracked by a groovy playlist.
