You might want to check your loft, because if you've got a Nikon like this lying around it'll probably earn you a few quid.

This particular model was just sold at auction for USD406,000. It is a Nikon One and the third camera the company ever built, making it the oldest camera known to exist, dating as far back as 1948.

The camera has an interchangeable-lens rangefinder, and the lens on it is the 11th Nikon ever made. It also has a 50mm f/2 that collapses into the body of the camera. It even comes with a vintage double-strap leather case that looks pretty #trendy.

It was produced during WWII and hauntingly reads "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN," on the bottom. The camera uses non-standard sized film so will likely be kept as a collectors item rather than used for snapping sunsets in Tenerife.
