Its a universal fact that watching some of the world's most trivial and mundane things being made in an intricate, ordered and mechanical order can be one of the most thereuputic things ever. There is simply just an odd yet extremely soothing feeling one gets from watching ink or glass being transformed from its raw unrecognisable origins into its well known shape and form. Okay. Maybe its just us, whatever.

Anyways, tennis balls, something so simple and small in actuality takes an incredibly complicated process to create, 24 separate processes to be exact. Commissioned by ESPN and sporting goods giant Wilson in anticipation of the US Open set to start on late August, Benedict Redgrove captures the amazingly complex manufacturing process it takes to create a tennis ball.
